A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates Court today for claiming over £11,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Cora Maxwell (48) of Carncullagh Road, Dervock claimed Income Support totalling £11,684 while failing to declare employment. She was given a three month prison sentence suspended for two years. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
