A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates Court today for claiming over £11,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Cathryn Bartolovic (44) of Altananam Park, Ballycastle claimed Housing Benefit totalling £11,323 while failing to declare she was living with her husband. She was sentenced to two months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.
The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
