Man convicted at Craigavon Crown Court of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Craigavon Crown Court today for claiming over £9,000 in benefits he was not entitled to.

Philip Wright (50) of Langtry Lodge, Moira claimed Job Seekers’ Allowance totalling £9,405 while failing to declare capital. He was given a two month prison sentence suspended for two years.

He is required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
