A woman was convicted at Londonderry Magistrates' Court today for claiming £18,416 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Wendy Lynch (42) of Lisdale Park,Londonderry, claimed Income Support totalling £18,416 while failing to declare Capital. She was given a Conditional Discharge for three years.
The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
Mrs Lynch has repaid any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
