A man was convicted at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today for claiming £125 in benefits he was not entitled to.
David Ross (28) of Belfast Road, Bangor, claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £125 while failing to declare employment. He was given a conditional discharge for one year. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
All wrongfully obtained money has been repaid to the Department for Communities
