A woman was convicted at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today for claiming over £7,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Reagan McMonagle (29) of Willowbrook Drive, Bangor, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £7,449 while failing to declare employment. She was given 100 hours community service and £32 costs. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
