A woman was convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today for claiming £3,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Patricia Craig (42) of Distillery Court, Belfast, claimed Jobseeker's Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £3,000 while failing to declare employment. She was given 100 hours community service. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
