A man was convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today for claiming over £200 in benefits he was not entitled to.
Aaron Sinclair (30) of Shankill Road, Belfast claimed Jobseeker's Allowance totalling £292 while failing to declare employment. He was fined £200 and given a £15 offenders levy. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
