A woman was convicted at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Julie Armstrong (38) of Glastry Court, Bangor claimed Income Support totalling £2,328 while failing to declare employment. She was given a £200 fine plus a £16 offenders levy.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
