A woman was convicted at Armagh Magistrates’ Court today for claiming over £3,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Laura Burley (46) of Alexander Crescent, Armagh, claimed Income Support totalling £3,066 while failing to declare that her partner was working. She was given a two year conditional discharge. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
