Antrim man convicted of benefit fraud

A man has been convicted at Antrim Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

George Dunwoody (59) of Hollowburn Road, Antrim, claimed Jobseeker's Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £3,136 while failing to declare employment. Mr Dunwoody was given 100 hours of community service.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
