Use of a call for evidence represents best practice in progressing a co-production and evidence informed approach to the development of strategy and policy.
Responses to the questions within this call for evidence will be analysed, along with any other sources of evidence and information received, to inform the development of the draft Housing Supply Strategy. We are keen to hear from a wide range of bodies, groups and individuals from within the housing and related sectors as well as more generally across society.
The publication of this call for evidence will also be supported by a series of focused engagement events that will be held throughout the duration of the consultation period. This will include four open public workshop sessions that will give an opportunity for participants to be involved in additional consultation that will feed in to the overall call for evidence process. Due to the current health restrictions, these events will be held online and as such numbers will be limited. Where there is additional demand, we will consider the option of additional sessions.
The Department will publish a summary of findings document on its website, following the completion of the call for evidence and parallel engagement events.
It is intended that the emerging draft strategy will be subject to public consultation later in the year.
Registering your attendance at one of the engagement events can be done via Eventbrite.
