Places to visit

The Historic Environment Division maintains a wide range of historic sites across Northern Ireland from large castles to small prehistoric monuments that you can visit.

Some of the larger sites, such as Dunluce Castle and Carrickfergus Castle, are staffed and have dedicated visitor facilities.   In other cases, such as Tullahogue, we have teamed up with local partners to improve the interpretation and accessibility of a site.

Up to date information on accessible sites can be obtained from Tourism NI’s website via the following link - Places to Visit

We also organise events at these sites throughout the year.
