Cost of Living Food Support Project - screening

This is a proposed short-term intervention to boost the levels of food stock available to those in the charitable sector assisting those struggling with access to food as a result of the Cost-of-Living crisis.

This new policy will see the launch of a short-term funding project to enable Homeless Connect (FareShare NI), a food redistribution charity, to purchase £350k of stock.  This funding will be wholly utilised to purchase food for region wide delivery to FareShare’s Community Food Members.  The project will bolster and strengthen community food members resources to provide food support to those in need of food support utilising FareShare’s region wide network and infrastructure.
