Advertisment for competition to appoint a Vice-Chair and members to the Board of SportNI

Sport NI is an arm’s-length body of DfC. Sport NI undertakes the important role as the lead development agency for sport and physical activity in Northern Ireland.

Sport plays a major role within society, and a key focus of Sport NI is to ensure that all participants are provided with the conditions they require to enjoy, engage and excel in sport and physical activity.

The Vice- Chair has a particular leadership role within the Board and organisation to enable collaborative and robust discussion of issues, as well as providing critical support to the Chair.

Sport NI is led by a Board, the purpose of which is to collectively provide effective leadership and strategic direction to the organisation and ensure that the policies and priorities set by the Department for Communities are implemented. Board members act solely in the interests of Sport NI.

Those with the required skills, knowledge and determination, from any background, are encouraged to apply.

Further information on the competition is available on the DfC website.
